Poesía en Abril will be presenting at IPRAC for the first time dedicating the night to Cuban poet Nicolás Guillén. You will be treated to a poetry reading featuring local and visiting poets and a special reading by Guillén’s grandson set to music. The night will conclude with scrumptious appetizers by Sobremesa Supper Club.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a poet or what inspires their poems? At this gathering poets will come together to discuss their poetry, process and publishing. This visual delight includes dance, multimedia and poetry readings by Juan Carlos Mestre (Spain) and Coral Bracho (México) both being honored at this year’s Poesía en Abril Festival. This presentation will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles. During the Q&A with the poets the audience will be able to ask questions in both languages.

Poesía en Abril returns to Calles y Sueños in Pilsen, with a poetic Cuban flavor merging a poetry reading and visual art show by three Cuban poets and an artist. The evening will also include guitar and an open mic.
